Khwaja ‘Abd Allah-i Ansari: Wisdom Divine

An Anthology of Ismaili Literature: A Shi’i Vision of Islam, 2008

Abstract:

Ismaili traditions of devotional poetry continued to flourish after the Mongol conquests, although much of it has been little known until recently. Khwaja ‘Abd Allah-i Ansari, who bore the same name as a famous 11th-century Sufi, wrote during the imamate of Mustansir bi’llah III, also known as Gharib Mirza, in whose praise he composed poems such as “Wisdom Divine,” which is translated here.
